Acappella Group WorldRoots Marks Two Decades of Musical Legacy, Influence, and Unity
Bristol-based WorldRoots Acappella celebrates 20 years of unforgettable performances and community impact
Bristol, UK – WorldRoots Acappella, a beloved vocal ensemble, is commemorating its 20th anniversary of captivating performances and positive community influence. The group is calling on individuals aged 12 and above, who have a love for singing or are looking to discover their voice, to join them in their musical journey and have the opportunity to perform at major events, including the iconic Glastonbury Festival.
Founded in 2005, WorldRoots Acappella has become a well-known fixture in the music scene for their dynamic and immersive walkabout performances. The group has graced some of the most respected festivals and events in the region, including Glastonbury, WOMAD, Shambala, and Aardman Animations’ 30th anniversary party. They have also had the privilege of performing at exclusive private events for Sting & Trudie Styler at their home and hosted a world music a cappella singing weekend for young people at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios.
To celebrate their milestone anniversary, WorldRoots Acappella is seeking new members to join their ensemble and continue their tradition of creating moving, one-of-a-kind musical experiences.
At festivals and events, WorldRoots’ ‘SongRaids & SoundBaths’ walkabout act stands out with its immersive a cappella experience that surrounds audiences with unique arrangements of soulful songs from around the world. These performances are designed to evoke emotional responses and transport listeners into an unforgettable atmosphere.
The group’s impact has not gone unnoticed, with Trudie Styler and Sting expressing their appreciation for WorldRoots’ contribution to the community. “So good to see & hear & feel Gathering Voices. Thank you for your generous commitment to community. Love, Trudie & Sting,” they said.
