“Introducing OpenCloud 2.0.0: Enhanced Enterprise Services, Support, and Native File Backup”
Berlin, Germany – OpenCloud, a powerful open-source solution for file management, file sharing, and content collaboration, has officially launched its commercial offering. This new solution, OpenCloud 2.0.0, provides users with various enterprise service packages, including long-term software support, fast security updates, and personal support.
The successful release of OpenCloud 1.0 in February 2025 set the foundation for this commercial launch. OpenCloud 2.0.0 can be run in in-house data centers or through selected partners, offering high-availability solutions for businesses of all sizes.
One of the key features of OpenCloud 2.0.0 is the new “File Native Backup” feature, which allows for easy backup of large data volumes and includes a powerful full-text search. Unlike database-supported solutions, OpenCloud only requires a simple backup of the file system, significantly reducing operating expenses and risks of failure.
In addition to the new features, OpenCloud is also providing users with a range of migration tools and comprehensive consulting and technical assistance from its support team to make migrating to its platform easy. This is especially beneficial for organizations that still rely on older PHP-based solutions.
OpenCloud is one of the three pillars of Heinlein Gruppe, along with OpenTalk and mailbox.org. The Heinlein Gruppe has been providing secure and digitally sovereign IT infrastructures throughout Europe for over 30 years.
