Shinobi Capital Strengthens Green Energy Portfolio with Acquisition of Elite Renewables

Elite Renewables, a prominent provider of high-performance heat pump and solar solutions, has officially joined Shinobi Capital Group following a strategic acquisition that further consolidates Shinobi’s presence in the UK’s low-carbon housing sector.

This move marks the latest in a series of targeted investments by Shinobi, aimed at building a nationwide collective of retrofit specialists. The group’s objective is to deliver top-tier, energy-efficient solutions to residential, commercial, and developer clients across the country. The acquisition aligns with the sector’s growing momentum, fuelled by rising consumer interest and generous government initiatives such as the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme.

Having operated for over ten years, Elite Renewables has earned a strong industry reputation for its advanced technical capabilities. The company works primarily with premium residential clients, architects, and building contractors in London and the South East, offering services that include the installation of air source heat pumps, solar PV systems, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR), battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure. Notably, its systems regularly achieve efficiencies exceeding 400% — placing it at the forefront of the sector.

Commitment to Quality and Long-Term Performance
Elite Renewables becomes the latest addition to Shinobi Capital’s growing renewables portfolio, which also includes The Retrofitters — a consumer-focused brand specialising in insulation and whole-house upgrades — and Pyramid Eco, which serves private homeowners, landlords, and social housing providers.

The business will continue to trade under the Elite Renewables name, with no changes to its current leadership team or day-to-day operations. The acquisition will enable Elite to expand its operations, benefitting from Shinobi’s experience in scaling companies through digital innovation, process optimisation, and brand strategy.

Tim Cameron-Kitchen, founder of Shinobi Capital Group, commented:
“Elite Renewables is one of the most technically capable and well-respected businesses in the heat pump and solar space. Their commitment to long-term performance, attention to detail, and service quality make them exactly the kind of company we want to support. Their track record of some truly extraordinary projects makes this one of the most exciting renewables businesses in the UK.

“Together, we will build on that strong foundation and help more people across the UK upgrade their homes with confidence.”

Aligned Vision and Future Growth
The acquisition underscores both companies’ shared commitment to delivering clean energy systems that not only reduce emissions but deliver dependable performance and long-term value for homeowners. Transparency, education, and craftsmanship are central to their approach — values increasingly in demand as the UK accelerates its retrofit goals.

This deal forms part of Shinobi’s wider strategy to create the UK’s most trusted network of retrofit and renewable energy experts, helping property owners make confident, future-ready upgrades at every stage of their retrofit journey.

Tim Cameron-Kitchen added:
“We believe the next chapter of the green transition belongs to companies that combine technical excellence with trust, education, and exceptional service,”
“Elite Renewables embodies all of that.”
