“Unwind with Williams: Introducing Mein Schiff Relax’s Sensational Partnership with Robbie Williams”

On Thursday, April 10th, 2025, a historic moment took place in the port of Málaga as three ships in the fleet gathered together for the first time. Guests of Mein Schiff 5, Mein Schiff 7, and the new InTUItion class ship, Mein Schiff Relax, had the opportunity to experience the festive naming ceremony together. The event was filled with technical refinements such as lasers, video mapping, and LED wristbands, ensuring guests had “endless moments” to remember.

International superstar and feel-good ambassador of Mein Schiff Relax, Robbie Williams, wowed over 12,000 people with an exclusive concert, further adding to the excitement of the evening.

“The staging of the naming ceremony, a choir, and many technical refinements such as lasers, video mapping, and LED wristbands ensured ‘endless moments,’” Williams said. “Mein Schiff Relax embodies the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, it really is an incredible ship.”

The central theme of the naming ceremony, “Relaxing Rocks,” was highlighted throughout the evening with musical performances by local artists, Mitchy & André Katawazi, MOKABY, and Giovanni Zarrella. The event culminated in the christening of Mein Schiff Relax by godmother Giuliana Rizzo, a crew member of the Mein Schiff fleet since 2015.

Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, opened the official naming ceremony with presenter Judith Rakers, who hosted the evening. The ceremony, which lasted several hours, was a spectacular display of technology and entertainment, with the number eight symbolizing infinity and tranquility.

“The naming of Mein Schiff Relax marks the beginning of a new era for TUI Cruises and another milestone in our success story,” Meier said. “Mein Schiff Relax offers numerous innovations that make her unique. That’s why it was important to us to welcome this new feel-good ship to the fleet in a special way.”

The naming ceremony was attended by over 12,000 guests, including prominent German personalities such as Reiner Calmund, Andrea Berg, Elton, Andrea Kathrin Loewig, Maximilian Arland, Aleksandra Bechtel, Ella Endlich, Natascha Ochsenknecht, as well as other invited guests from the worlds of politics and business.

Mein Schiff Relax is the first ship in the new InTUItion class, which will be followed by Mein Schiff Flow in 2026. Both new builds set new standards, as demonstrated at the unique naming event in Málaga.

Giuliana Rizzo, SPA & Sport Manager of Mein Schiff Relax, has been ensuring guests on board the Mein Schiff fleet experience special moments of relaxation for ten years. As the godmother of the eighth new TUI Cruises ship, Rizzo was the center of attention as she arrived in the port of Malaga last night. She walked through a gigantic digitally projected portal, accompanied by the singing of a 36-strong Andalusian choir, and triggered the dropping of the champagne bottle at the bow of the ship.

“I am simply overwhelmed emotionally: by the honor that has been bestowed upon me, but also by the breathtaking and emotional staging of this evening,” Rizzo said. “There have been many special moments in these ten years, but this one will remain in my heart forever.”

Following the naming ceremony, guests of all three ships were treated to after-show parties with performances by DJ MOUSSE T., DJ MOKABY, DJ 2elements, and DJ SCHILLER.

Mein Schiff Relax will be taking regular guests and new cruise fans on 7- to 10-day trips from/to Palma/Mallorca this summer, with destinations including Italian cities such as Rome, La Spezia, and Naples, as well as Spanish cities such as Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga, and Cádiz. The ship will also sail to Marseille and Ajaccio in France, Lisbon in Portugal, and Sardinia and Sicily in Italy. Guests can also look forward to an overnight stay in the port of Palma on selected routes, allowing them to explore the capital of the Balearic island of Mallorca. In the winter of 2025/26, Mein Schiff Relax will cruise around the Canary Islands. The new feel-good ship offers a 7-day itinerary with transfer days in Las Palmas/Gran Canaria or Santa Cruz/Tenerife.

TUI Cruises GmbH, a joint venture between TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, is one of the leading cruise companies in the German-speaking countries. The fleet of eight ships, including the new InTUItion class ships, offers modern holiday cruises in the premium segment. TUI Cruises also recently acquired the brand Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, with its fleet of five ships including the luxury cruise ships EUROPA and EUROPA 2.
