MACC launches current-gen MAN TGX

MAN AUTOMOTIVE Concessionaires Corp. (or MACC) has grown its portfolio of trucks in the Philippines by bringing in the newest iteration of MAN’s TG series two years after its global debut.

“We are happy to finally bring the new TG to our roads, and we are confident that (this) will surpass standards of reliability, efficiency, and total cost of ownership, and translate into more success for our customers. This is how MAN and MACC help its clients to simplify business,” the distributor said in a release. With more than 30 years of experience in the truck business, MACC is looking at capitalizing on the country’s gradually reopening economy.

The first TG-series truck was introduced here about a decade ago. The TGA, followed by the TGS, earned a reputation for fuel efficiency and reliability. “The TG changed the landscape of the trucking industry by raising the standards in what customers look for, with MACC ably providing timely after-sales support,” continued the statement.

Now, the MAN TGX arrives with impressive credentials. It was honored as the International Truck of the Year in 2021 as a heavy-duty, long-distance workhorse. The MAN TGX has also undergone various improvements to match the needs of truckers worldwide. The TGX now boasts enhanced aerodynamics, fuel efficiency, ergonomic driver workplace, modern design and various safety assistance systems critical to industries.

Its premium cabs are said to be designed with optimum driver comfort and safety in mind, and feature “all of the most recent technological advances.”

Continued MACC, “The new TGX (is) not only more comfortable, but also more dynamic and economic than ever before. The new truck has a drive that is fully tuned for efficiency and performance, so it extracts even more power from every drop of fuel.” The TGX reportedly promises fuel savings of up to 3.7%.

MAN is one of the world’s oldest engineering companies, and is known for advancements in diesel engine technology and the development of the modern truck. The local distributor shared that “MAN has constantly innovated in making practical improvements to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of its trucks. The first TG series was born over 20 years ago as a response to the changing demands of customers and society, winning numerous awards and more importantly, winning the confidence of truckers worldwide.”
