Mastercard Teams Up with KOBIL GmbH for Global Digital Ecosystem Development

Mastercard has chosen KOBIL GmbH, a top-tier technology firm from Germany, as its partner in developing digital ecosystem projects globally. This collaboration aims to cultivate innovative business models, tapping into the strengths of Mastercard and KOBIL GmbH. KOBIL GmbH, noted for its expertise in data security and digital identity, and its pioneering SuperApp platform, is now aligned with Mastercard as a global partner. The partnership will begin with KOBIL GmbH embedding its SuperApp platform within Mastercard’s global network, commencing with a pilot project in the MEA region, with a view to expanding to over 80 countries.

Mastercard’s recognition of KOBIL GmbH’s technological expertise, particularly in digital identity and data security, marks a significant milestone in their partnership. “Our inaugural joint project, a pilot study in the MEA region, is just the beginning,” stated Ismet Koyun, CEO of KOBIL Group. He referenced the Istanbul SuperApp project’s success in connecting millions with essential city services, which was highlighted at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.
