New AI-Powered Content Platform Launched by Devon Technology Startup

Devon-based tech start-up Conturae has launched an AI-assisted content creation platform for online writers. The platform was developed using no-code technology, making it easier to build and launch new features.

Co-founders Dan Debnam, Jen Timothy and Joe Tompkinson have harnessed AI technology and collaborated with a network of industry writers to deliver “affordable and high-performing” material. With the aim of using the best emerging AI technology to support creative talent worldwide, Dan stated that the platform makes content creation, feedback, and revisions “remarkably seamless and affordable”.

Joe added that the market is changing and there is a strong value argument for having writers at the forefront of the platform’s offering. According to the World Economic Forum, AI will create 97 million new jobs by 2025. For freelance writers, the platform offers a way to secure projects that match their skills and provides clear visibility on what they will get paid.

The venture has secured seed funding from early investors, showing their belief in the business and potential for great rewards. Jen, operations director, said: “If you have a brilliant idea, a fantastic product, and a strong team, it is possible to secure investment for a start-up pre-revenue”.

Conturae, based in Barnstaple, Devon, launched this month and aims to keep the human touch at the centre of creativity.
